Choosing a nib size
This pen is listed with broad, fine, medium nib options. In practice, broad (B) lays down a wide, wet line that shows off ink colour but needs larger handwriting; fine (F) gives a thin, controlled line that suits everyday handwriting and margins; medium (M) is the all-rounder, with a smooth, clearly visible line that suits most handwriting. If you mostly write notes on everyday paper, the finer end of the range is usually more forgiving; if you like to see your ink colour and shading, go wider.
Ink and filling
Use bottled or cartridge fountain pen ink in this pen, and avoid drawing inks or non-fountain-pen inks, which can clog the feed. Check the pen’s own instructions for its filling system before buying ink. When you change ink colour, flush the nib and feed with clean water first so the colours do not mix.
Who it suits and gifting ideas
