Where many shimmer inks hide their sparkle, this one shows it off. The gold particles are easy to spot and the orange base has a pleasant, readable depth, with decent shading in broader nibs. It is generally described as a well-behaved ink that flows smoothly without fuss.

Best Uses

Pick this ink for journal headings, greeting cards, wedding stationery, sketch captions and any page where you want a little celebration. Golden Sunburst fountain pen ink looks best on smooth, good-quality paper, where the shimmer can settle on the surface instead of sinking in.

Filling and Care

Shimmer particles sink over time, so give the bottle a gentle shake before filling and roll your pen between your fingers now and then to keep the sparkle evenly spread. Flush the pen with clean water regularly, and do not leave it unused for weeks with ink inside. The rounded glass bottle comes with a double-sided cork base that keeps it steady on your desk while you fill.
